Tomy: Hahah well we have an official mascot for Fantastic Fam!!!!

I was in search for some decoration for our Booth at World of Dance and i really wanted to make sure to add elements into the booth that make it feel like HOME .

TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE with this random PIG i saw "THIS IS IT" I literally screamed in the middle of the store…. the Famtastic PIG!

We will make sure to display it at our booth, if you come by, make sure to rub it, it brings luck! hahaha We don’t have a name for it YET, Can you help?????

We are excited to announce that we’re officially sponsoring KENYA-DANCE III – an amazing charity dance showcase held in CA- San Jose on February 5^th, 2011, featuring over 20 dance crews such as POREOTICS, WE ARE HEROES, AND TEAM MILLENNIA from ABDC. The organization KENYA DREAM will use 100% of the proceeds toward the renovation of Mukua Secondary School in Kenya.

ABOUT Kenya Dream: Kenya Dream is a community-based organization dedicated to improving educational facilities in Kenya, thereby enhancing the learning experience one school at a time.

ABOUT FantasticFam- how we bring people together: We immediately felt the urge to join KENYA DANCE III because of KENYA DREAM and our mutual goal of bringing people together. By using fashion, we felt inspired to make an impact in strengthening KENYA DREAM’s heartfelt mission of uniting people for a good cause.

FANTASTICFAM’s ROLE: We created an exclusive FantasticFam / KENYA DREAM T-Shirt design- the KENYA DANCE MONZTR. 50 pieces will be produced and sold at our FantasticFam vendor booth at the KENYA-DANCE III show for $20 each. 100% of all proceeds – a potential of $1000- earned through this exclusive design by us will be donated to KENYA DREAM- the organization- and help schools in need in Kenya, Africa.

Hope you’re all living it up for 2011.

We just returned from our first 2011 trip, which led us to LA/ HOLLYWOOD for WOD ( World Of Dance) Awards Show- January 14^th, 2011.

We were pretty excited to join the show because it was our first show as vendors for our freshly new brand FantasticFam. Honestly, we felt a bit unsure about how people would welcome us since we’re pretty new but the big dream was to travel, let our designs be seen and hopefully loved, meet cool people, watch good live performances and enjoy a good show in general. (:

So we packed up some boxes of T-Shirts for the big trip from North Cal to South Cal.

Unfortunately, having worked too hard on preparing for the show, sister-heart Linda got sick at the last minute , but luckily one of our best buddies named Rychard jumped into the wagon with us.

January 14^th, 2011

So we fought ourselves through the famous LA traffic and arrived at the event at around 5:30 pm. Here we met up with our friend Philip Tran who was going to take some pictures for us at/ of the show.

Everyone who helped organizing the show was pretty awesome and really nice to us. Shout out to Myron! (:

Lots of set up work was waiting for us but luckily, Rychard and Philip helped us out a ton! (Thanks guys!) It’s a blessing to have awesome friends.

Puh, it took Philip and me (Nina) quite a while to do those crafts! ^^’

Doors opened at a little past 8:00 pm, just when we finished up our booth and the show began. (:

Some people stopped by, browsed through our collection and shared a generous amount of compliments on our designs, which made us pretty happy. (:

He was such an awesome guy, loved our shirts and bought two of them!

...for which he deserved a cool button as a gift!

Sales were not busy, so we got to enjoy watching some awesome live performances…

Our most favorite one was by these two little best buddies from Future Funk:

Their performance (singing/ rapping & dancing) was awesome and adorable! Leave us a comment if anyone of you remembers their names. We’re dying to know!

Nearly at 12:00 am, just as we wanted to call it a long day and started to pack up, we met the highlight of our day! Well, he came to our booth, browsing around, pointing at the Game Freak Monztr T-Shirt and said: “…I love that Shirt! Who are you guys, how come I haven’t heard of your brand yet?!”

It was Arnel Calvario, the founder of Kaba Modern and one of the nicest people we’ve met on earth! He introduced himself to us, ask for our names and gave each one of us a hand shake. Although other people kept on requesting to take pictures with him, he was still so nice to chat with us for a while and intended to buy a T-Shirt and some buttons. It was such a wonderful experience meeting Arnel Calvario, since we’ve always loved Kaba Modern ever since they appeared on ABDC. Feeling extremely appreciated and grateful that he loved our designs, we gave him the shirt he loved the most and some buttons as a gift.

Final thoughts

It’s not always easy when you create something with passion from all your heart, hold it in your palms, open it up to others, wish for it to be seen and hope that with time people might fall in love with it. But it’s never easy. Sometimes it happens instantly, sometimes you need to be patient and continue working harder, show everyone even more effort in order to let people understand your passion and what you are fighting for. Then, people may slowly but surely fall in love with your creation.

Although our trip and work that laid behind/ with it was a strenuous one and we sold a couple items, we still felt extremely grateful for the opportunity that was granted to us. This show has reminded us that along the way towards success, it’s mostly not just about earning money, but rather about what lies beneath the message and meaning of our brand. This show was our opportunity to bring our brand out to you guys. Meeting and connecting with you guys is so much more worth. (:

All compliments on our designs filled us up, giving us hope and motivation to keep going, amazing people and their talents shown through their work accomplishments and rewards (awards) filled us up with inspiration and strength, reminding us that everyone has something; a talent, different from another, to passionately live for.

Every year we like to participate with our family. It’s a wonderful event to do with the family, especially when there are younger siblings in the family like our little sister. (:

This year, we picked up 20 wish cards from the Angel Giving Tree at our local mall from children that wished for a T-Shirt.

There’s only one wish each child may wish for, can you believe that it’s only a simple T-Shirt these children wish for? Think about how many T-Shirts we have buried in our closets!

We hope our fantasticfam T-Shirts and their cute and positive designs will bring a smile to these children’s faces! (:

So today we visited the wonderful captial of California Sacramento for Sac-Con with FantasticFam

Last but not least, some sad news. For all of you who watched Toy Story 3…. Sorry guys the ugly truth is that everyone of them landed in a box at a convention in Sacramento instead of playing with that lovely girl haha.
